Note from the President
|
|
I
hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving. Get ready because it
is full speed ahead from now until New Years.
I would like to extend
happy holiday wishes from the team here at Accent Computer
Solutions. We really appreciate our personal and business
relationships with all of you. Thank You!
The month of November
has shaped up to be very exciting.
Our Windows 7 Lunch and
Learn was very successful. We had to close the registration due
to the high demand for information on the subject. We are
scheduling another session in early December for those that
tried to register and could not get a spot.
How is your business
doing? We have seen an increase in activity and projects related
to refresh and upgrades. It seems like we may have made it
through the worst . . . I hope so.

Increase Your Marketing
Response

Here's a plain
fact: Marketing exists to support sales. Sure, it's also
used to create awareness and build a brand image. But
ultimately if your marketing doesn't motivate customers to
take action, it's probably not doing its job.
If you're
experiencing less than stellar results when it comes to
getting customers to respond to your marketing messages, it
may be time to take a hard look at your campaign. Here are
six factors that may stand in the way of customer response,
plus tips on what to do to improve your response rates.
1. Ads are out
of context. Due to the proliferation of specialized
media, it's easier than ever to reach prospects in the right
place at the right time. For marketing success, your
customers must be exposed to your message when they're in a
receptive frame of mind. Suppose you owned a landscape
nursery. |

The 7 dos and don'ts of
Effective Negotiation
Used with permission from
the HP Small & Medium Business Center
|
|
In this economy,
being able to close important deals and negotiate better
prices and terms is more essential than ever. But if you’re
worried that being a good negotiator means having to fight
dirty, you’re wrong – a negotiation should be an opportunity
for give and take that results in a win-win situation for
the participants involved. Learning how to negotiate
effectively can help you achieve these winning results while
strengthening business relationships.
Start improving
your negotiation skills with these dos and don’ts:
Don’t appear
needy.
People can smell desperation. This will weaken your position
and allow opponents to get you to make too large a
concession or give too deep a discount. |
